Why I built Stepzy.
I'm Dhairya Chandra, an AI engineer and the founder of Suvysoft. Stepzy started as a personal problem, not a business plan. I wanted to walk more and build a habit I could actually keep, so I went looking for a step counter that would just show me my progress in a simple, uncluttered way.
Every app I tried got in the way of that. I didn't want a full fitness dashboard, I didn't want a social network bolted onto my step count, and I didn't want a subscription wall standing between me and numbers my iPhone was already tracking. I just wanted something simple: track steps, stay motivated, nothing extra.
So I built it myself. Stepzy reads the step and activity data Apple Health already collects and turns it into something calm and readable - a live ring, honest streaks, and progress you can actually see at a glance, without digging through menus or wading past features you'll never use. What started as a tool for my own habit turned into Stepzy once I realized how many other people wanted the same thing: a respectful app that encourages you to move, instead of overwhelming you into it.
That's still the whole philosophy behind Stepzy today - help people move more by making the experience enjoyable, not overwhelming.
I write about building Stepzy and Suvysoft, and I'm always happy to hear from people using the app.
