Daily milestones
Your step goal is not the only moment worth noticing. The Today screen marks four milestones as you walk, each one celebrated once a day.
The four milestones
| Milestone | When it appears | Celebration |
|---|---|---|
| Halfway there | 50% of today's goal | A toast and a light haptic |
| Goal reached | 100% of today's goal | A toast, a success haptic and confetti |
| 150% day | One and a half times your goal | A toast and a light haptic |
| Double goal | Twice your goal | A toast, a success haptic and confetti |
Each threshold is measured against that day's own goal, so a split weekend goal or a today-only goal moves the milestones with it.
Once a day, never repeated
Stepzy remembers which milestones it has already celebrated today. Relaunching the app, switching days in the date strip or opening a second window never shows the same one twice.
If Apple Health delivers a big batch of steps at once - common after your iPhone has been in a bag - every milestone you jumped past is still marked, in order. And if you first open Stepzy late in the day, milestones you passed earlier are quietly marked as done instead of firing a stack of stale toasts.
When you beat one of your personal records, Today shows a New record toast with confetti in the same place.
Frequently asked questions
Can I turn the confetti off?
There is no separate switch. Stepzy follows the system Reduce Motion setting for its animations.
Do milestones send a notification?
No. Milestones are an in-app celebration on the Today screen. See Notifications for what Stepzy does send.
