Workout detail stats
Tapping a workout opens a full breakdown of that session, assembled from everything Apple Health recorded at the time. Sections only appear when the underlying data exists, so a treadmill run and a coastal hike show different screens.
The hero header
At the top: the activity icon and name, the full date, a weather chip when it was recorded, and one large headline figure - distance if the workout has any, otherwise duration. Up to three compact stats sit beneath it.
AI Insight
A short written read on the session, generated on your device from the workout's own numbers - pace, heart rate, distance, duration. Nothing is uploaded. This card requires Stepzy Pro.
Route
Outdoor walks, runs, hikes and rides with recorded GPS get a full-width map of the route, along with distance, elevation gain and duration. A Play Route button starts the 3D route flyover.
Overview
The core numbers, shown when available:
- Duration and Distance
- Avg Pace
- Steps taken during the session
- Cadence, in steps per minute
- Elevation gain and elevation loss
- Strokes, for swimming workouts
Intensity
Effort and Strain scores, a full heart rate zone breakdown, minimum, average and maximum heart rate, HRV, VO2 max, breathing rate, and a heart rate graph you can scrub for a per-point BPM reading. Covered in detail in Heart rate zones, Effort and Strain.
Body & energy
Active energy burned during the session, and your average METs - a standard measure of exercise intensity relative to sitting still.
Workout Details
The provenance section: the source app, the recording device, whether it was indoor or outdoor, start and end times, elevation, swimming stroke, location and weather. Useful when two apps have both written similar sessions and you need to work out which is which.
Sharing a workout
The Share button in the top right renders the workout as a card you can restyle with any of Stepzy's 20 themes before sending. See Share cards.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there no route map on my run?
Either the workout was indoors, or no GPS route was recorded. Route data comes from the device that tracked the session - typically an Apple Watch with location enabled.
Why is VO2 max or HRV blank?
Those metrics are written by an Apple Watch under specific conditions and are not present on every workout. Stepzy shows them when Health has them and hides them when it does not.
What are METs?
Metabolic equivalents - roughly, how many times harder your body was working than sitting at rest. Around 3 to 6 METs is moderate; above 6 is vigorous.
