Notifications and reminders
Stepzy's notifications are meant to nudge, not nag. There are three daily reminders and a handful of event-based alerts, and the whole lot is behind a single switch.
Turning notifications on or off
- Open Settings.
- Find Enable Notifications under NOTIFICATIONS.
- Toggle it on - iOS will ask for permission the first time - or off to cancel every scheduled reminder.
You can also control Stepzy's notifications from iOS Settings, under Notifications, then Stepzy - useful if you want them delivered quietly rather than switched off entirely.
Daily reminders
With notifications on, Stepzy sends three step reminders a day, timed so a morning nudge and an evening nudge bracket the working day.
| Reminder | Default time |
|---|---|
| Morning | 9:00 AM |
| Midday | 1:00 PM |
| Evening | 7:00 PM |
Event notifications
- Award unlocked - when you earn a new badge. See Awards and achievements.
- Workout complete - when a workout is recorded.
- Goal suggestion - when Stepzy thinks your target should move. See Adaptive goal suggestions.
Stepzy never leaves a red badge number on its icon. Notifications arrive and clear; the icon stays clean.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the reminder times?
The three reminder times are fixed at present. You can turn the whole set off with the Settings toggle, or schedule them quietly using iOS Notification settings.
I turned notifications on but get nothing.
Check iOS Settings, then Notifications, then Stepzy, and confirm Allow Notifications is on. Also check Focus modes and Scheduled Summary, which can hold or delay delivery.
Do reminders show my current step count?
Yes. Reminder text reflects your progress at the time it is sent.
