Workout history
The Workouts tab lists every workout in Apple Health, whether it was started on an Apple Watch, in the Fitness app, or by another app that writes to Health. Stepzy does not start workouts itself - it reads and analyses what is already there.
The list
Workouts are grouped by month, newest first, with a pinned month header as you scroll. Each row shows the activity icon and name, when it happened, and a strip of micro-stats: duration, distance, calories and steps.
Recent sessions are labelled Today or Yesterday rather than a date, so the top of the list stays readable.
Filtering
A switcher at the top offers two views:
| Filter | Shows |
|---|---|
| Walk/Run | Walking and running only, indoor and outdoor. This is the default |
| All | Every workout type Apple Health has recorded |
Where the step count comes from
Stepzy queries Apple Health for the steps recorded during each workout's exact time window. When a session has no step samples - an indoor cycle, a swim - it falls back to a distance-based estimate rather than showing nothing.
Refreshing
Pull down on the list to re-query Apple Health. This is the fix if a workout you just finished has not appeared - the Watch sometimes takes a minute to hand the session over.
Opening a workout
Tap any row for the full detail view: hero stats, route map, pace and cadence, heart rate zones and more. See Workout detail stats.
Frequently asked questions
Can I start a workout in Stepzy?
No. Start it on your Apple Watch or in another app that writes to Apple Health, and it will appear in Stepzy automatically.
Why is a workout missing?
Usually a sync delay or a missing Health permission. Work through Workouts missing from Stepzy.
Do workout steps get double-counted in my daily total?
No. Your daily total comes straight from Apple Health, which already deduplicates across sources. The per-workout step figure is a separate query over the same data.
Which workout types does Stepzy show?
All of them, under the All filter. Some sections - route maps, cadence, swimming strokes - only appear when the workout type actually produces that data.
