Workouts missing from Stepzy
Stepzy lists whatever Apple Health holds. If a session is missing from Stepzy, the question is almost always whether it reached Health at all, and whether Stepzy is allowed to read it.
1. Check the filter
The Workouts tab opens on Walk/Run, which hides everything else. Switch to All before assuming a session is missing. See Workout history.
2. Pull down to refresh
Swipe down on the workout list to re-query Apple Health. A workout finished on an Apple Watch can take a minute or two to transfer.
3. Check it is in the Health app
Open Health, go to Browse, then Activity, then Workouts. If it is not there, Stepzy cannot show it - the problem sits between the recording app and Health, not with Stepzy.
4. Check workout permissions
In Health, tap your profile picture, then Apps & Services, then Stepzy, and confirm Workouts and Workout Routes are both on. Workout Routes is the one people miss - without it you get the workout but no map and no flyover.
5. Missing stats rather than a missing workout
Sections appear only when the data exists. Common causes:
| Missing | Usual reason |
|---|---|
| Route map | Indoor workout, or no GPS recorded |
| Heart rate and zones | No heart rate samples - needs an Apple Watch or a paired monitor |
| VO2 max, HRV, breathing | Only written by an Apple Watch under specific conditions |
| Steps | Not every workout type produces step samples |
Start sessions in Apple's Workout app or another app that writes to Health. Stepzy reads and analyses what is already recorded.
Frequently asked questions
Do third-party workouts show up?
Yes, as long as the app writes into Apple Health.
Why does one workout appear twice?
Two apps have each written their own session for the same activity. Delete the duplicate in the Health app and Stepzy will follow.
Do old workouts from before I installed Stepzy show up?
Yes. Stepzy reads your whole Health history, not just what happened after installation.
